Abstract

The study begins with a historical journey through the different milestones around the
problematic of the purity of blood in Spain and how these milestones are reflected in the literature
of the Golden Age. After this presentation he studies the role that blood purity plays
in Perez Reverte's book Blood Cleaning, the fictional use he makes of the historical Quevedo,
the way in which the author creates the historical atmosphere of the work and what are the merits
literary of it.
