The inclemencies of time: about Álvaro Salvador´s Ahora, todavía (Now, still)

This article postulates a reading of Ahora, todavía (2001) de Álvaro Salvador,
in an elegiac key, a textual type close to the inclemencies of time that besieges the
poetics of the author from the beginning. The texts of this collection of poems, then,
retrogrades the routes of time and the I, fundamental themes that articulate its tracing,
along with the insistent and not always kind interrogation about the figure of the poet
and the role of poetry. The neuralgic points that integrate it harmoniously interweave,
establishing within themselves relations of counterpoints and complements, of the
poems within themselves and within each one of its parts, in several of its possible
facets: that of the existence in singular, that of the public history and that of his own
journey as poet. In the wrinkles of the extensive poems and others much shorter,
wanders an autumnal subject who cannot overcome the inexorability of time.
