Abstract

Through an elaborate literary game, Marta Sanz’s novel Black, black, black poses the invalidity of absolute values and preconceived models in current society, as well as how harmful they could be for individuals. This article analyzes how this work carries out the problematization of these preestablished principles by questioning the identity of the characters and parodying the detective genre, while showing the power of discourse as the only way of self-affirmation over the other.
