Exile, Memories and Shadow Lines. Concerning Antonio Muñoz Molina’s Ardor Guerrero
Keywords:
Antonio Muñoz Molina, Ardor Guerrero, memory, military serviceAbstract
Coming from the liminal value that was given to the mandatory military service that all young men in Spain had to go through, Muñoz Molina explores his memories of that transition period he experienced in 1979, linking the ritual of initiation with the creative process; building an imaginary space of fictionalization of the memory which leads into a reflection on the ambiguity of memories and dreams, and the possibility of delaying the ultimate shadow line through writing.
