Hojas de Madrid con La galerna, a volume of mythical dyes by Blas de Otero, one of the major figures of 20th-century Spanish poetry, was firstly published in 2010 in an edition by Sabina de la Cruz together with Mario Hernández. This article analyses the structure and content of La galerna, a collection of poems written from 1969 to 1974. Aware of his accelerated physical and mental decline, Otero mitigates his suffering by acquiring a retrospective sight, which leads him to critical considerations on major philosophical questions and the stream of historical happenings.
