Towards a science-religion relationship worthy of the needs of the 21st century

Given the pressing needs of humanity and the urgent and inescapable challenges facing the world in the current century, the purpose of this article is to examine some outdated assumptions about religion and its relationship with science. The text shows why such assumptions must be discarded and how we need to redefine what we understand religion to mean and how it should relate to science in order to contribute effectively to the welfare of humankind.
