The designs of several 16th-century wooden ceilings in some churches of Tierra de Campos follow the models of Sebastiano Serlio: Alonso de Porquera stands out among those carpenters who used them. He is the author of the choir of the church of Bolaños de Campos (Valladolid). And according to its features and style, the great wooden ceiling of the middle section of the nave of the parish church of Castroverde de Campos (Zamora), where he resided, can be also attributed to him.
