This paper analyses the relationship between the painter Bernardo Lorente Germán and the monarchs Philip V of Spain and his wife Elisabeth Farnese during the royal stay in Seville. We provide information about the royal provenance of one of Lorente Germán’s best artistic creations: the St Michael that belonged to the Real Colegio de Santa Isabel of Madrid. Moreover, we introduce another unpublished painting (a Divine Sheperdess in private collection of Seville), which is an example of a devotion supported by the monarchs during the so-called ‘Lustro Real’ (1729-1733).
