Breast cancer is the most common tumor pathology between women. It is the second most prevalent cancer in Spain in the general population, below prostate cancer (1). The treatment of this disease needs a multidisciplinary approach. Currently, the first line is considered the surgical one; the gold standard includes conservative surgery with selective sentinel lymph node biopsy. However, the initial treatment is conditioned both by immuno-histochemistry and by the extension of the tumor. Therefore, in many cases, the initial approach is usually through immunotherapy, chemotherapy and even both techniques combined. In short, the global treatment of this type of tumors usually associates several techniques. In this article we will focus on this last type of therapies, especially the monoclonal antibodies Trastuzumab and Bevacizumab. We will also review the possibilities shown by immunotherapy as future bets for the treatment of this cancer.
