Historically, less attention has been paid to the study of seigneurial accounts than to the nobiliary demesnes and lineages. This is likely to be the result of the scarcity of seriated records in the seigneurial archives. Our aim is to take advantage of the rich administrative and judicial records of the Lazcano family archive to reconstruct the structure and management of the income and rents of a family whose possessions spanned the eastern districts of Guipuzcoa and Alava, in the border with the kingdom of Navarra, between 1335 and 1522.
