Abstract

The present paper intends to analyze the concept of dystopia and, more concretely, of the study of Ray Bradbury’s short fiction “There will Come Soft Rains” to inquire later in its didactic possibilities. We will focus on studying the tale as a way to implement a small set of activities related, on the one hand, to the teaching of language and literature and, on the other, to something we should referred to as teaching of creativity and contention. In the end, we want to reflect on how dystopian works are a good source to use in English Teaching courses, of course adapting the contents to the level we face.
