The work addresses various functions related to climate change that directly or indirectly affect our environment. After an introductory presentation on the climate problem, especially in urban space, a holistic analytical method of green infrastructure as a nature-based solution (NBS) based on its structure, behavior and functioning is proposed. There are dimensions that emerge with climate change and NBS, such as urban agriculture, agrifitness, and heat waves. A description of the situation in Spain leads us to final recommendations that stimulate biophilia, the environment and nature. The work exposes the role of green infrastructures in the city, with an analysis method for a better understanding where structural, behavioural and operational aspects are highlighted, with empirical data. To identify the environment of action, different modalities of Nature-Based Solutions are developed below, with a very heterogeneous content. Finally, specific aspects of Spain are described, with special reference to climate change.
