This article summarizes a netnography developed among the students and graduates of the Educational Institution “Monseñor Víctor Wiedemann” in Medellín city (Colombia). The study focused on the characteristics of the interaction around the body image that is raised through Facebook. To carry it out, Facebook's publications and photographs were analysed, a survey was applied and interviews were conducted with different users of that platform. Among the conclusions, it’s detected a configuration, not free of contractions, of some imaginary and practices in the virtual world that are characteristic of the digital natives’ generation; In this context, it is worth noting that the virtual body image is, depending on the case, a source of success and inclusion or of failure and stigmatization.
