The aim of this paper is to shed some light on women prisoners´ relationship with drugs when they are/were in jail and the important role played by physical activity to prevent consumption. Data was obtained through ethnographic fieldwork and five interviews with inmate and ex-inmate women. Results are presented as a life story recreated in a narrative way. The evocative tale explains, among other aspects, how physical activity and sport may help to shape a new life project away from drug addiction.
