Upper extremity thrombosis is an unusual finding in the clinic, and therefore in imaging tests. This is why, in the presence of low suspicion, its diagnosis may be overlooked, resulting in significant morbidity for the patient. The gold standard for its diagnosis after high D-dimer levels in venous coagulation is the venous echo-doppler imaging test, which prevents delays in anticoagulant treatment. Here I present the case of a 54-year-old woman who presents with pain, redness, edema, and swelling of the left upper limb.
