Abstract

A semen analysis is a diagnostic test that analyzes semen to assess male fertility. It is indicated in infertility studies, post-vasectomy monitoring, and after treatments that affect spermatogenesis. Its analysis criteria are established in the WHO Manual (6th edition) and are essential for detecting abnormalities that may compromise reproductive capacity. Below is a simplified case study of its analysis in the laboratory.
