In this paper, we are going to study the origin, causes, and development of several social protests (demonstrations, tractor demonstrations, etc.) that they were made by the farmers from Valladolid province during the first quinquennium of Spanish Transition (1975-1980). Through the analysis of the written press, documentation of the Civil Government, and oral testimonies, we will show how the Valladolid farmers were not oblivious to the political and social process of the second half of the seventies, but, on the contrary, they were active figures of the cycle of collective mobilization that extended throughout Spain during those hectic years.
