Abstract

Following the renewal experienced in political history, the memory has been discovered as one of the most applicable resources. In this paper, we propose their use as a means for the study of the circulation of images and political representations ‘built’ around Melchor Macanaz (1670-1760). Our goal is the analysis of the different historical biographical profiles developed over the second half of the eighteenth century and the early years of the next century, noting the interests that will try to serve at all times with the use Macanaz memory.
