Abstract

The disappearance of the records of Valladolid Court in 1809 has been a serious limitation in the research about the Spanish Inquisition in a geographical área of a big extension in the noth of the country. In his article, there are documents which the Provincial Historical Archives of Valladolid can bring forward in order to mitigate this shortage parcially, helping to the knowledge of inquisitors, oficials and collaborators, to the activities which they display and the victims and social groups liable to its watchfulness. These documents are located in the notarial protocols, Provincial Administration of Treasury, Resurreccion Hospital, town documents and Catholic Church.
