This article tries to offer, on the one hand, some brief statements for the analysis of war propaganda in modern times and, on the other hand, a study of the propaganda scope of some conflicts of the second half of the 18th century. Both the Seven Years’ War in the mid–century, and the so–called conflict against the French Convention, at the end, provoked an anti–British and anti–French propaganda respectively, which gave rise to a spontaneous, penetrating and virulent public opinion of great significance in the hispanic society.
