Nostalgia and historical consciousness in the Sephardic diaspora from northern Morocco to Venezuela (20th Century)

The following article is part of my doctoral research on the immigration of Sephardic Jews from northern Morocco to Venezuela. On the transatlantic journey of this diaspora, oral tradition and writing serve as reservoirs of emotions and feelings inherited through written culture. Nostalgia as historical emotion and written document is the vehicle for the formation of emotional communities and the nucleus for the construction of collective memory and historical consciousness.
