From a family patronage to the conflict. Creation and dissolution of the commercial-family network of the merchant Diego de la Piedra Secadura, from Cadiz, 1750-1845

This article analyzes the family and professional career of Diego de la Piedra Secadura merchant from Cadiz. We will focus especially on the constitution and dissolution of the commercial network that he established to maintain the activity of his commercial house in Cádiz and his own family. The conflicts derived from the distribution of the inheritance ruined the company and the relationship of family interests that had developed.
