Alfonso Osorio García (Santander, 1923) was one of the undoubted protagonists of the Spanish Transition: Minister of the Presidency during the Government of Carlos Arias Navarro, and second vice president in the first Government of Adolfo Suárez. But his presence in public life had already begun during the dictatorship, so his figure is very representative of the evolution of those men who, from within the regime, ended up promoting the replacement of the Franco regime by a democratic system under the monarchical and with a vocation for integration in Europe. Between 1970 and 1975 Osorio recorded his political ideology through a wide range of articles, lectures and interviews. From the analysis we will be able to better understand how was the transition to democracy in Spain.
