College of Orphans “Santiago” and the city of Valladolid (1892-1908)

In 2012 they met the 120 years of the creation and implementation underway of the orphan school for the "Santiago" Cavalry weapon.The article realizes the intense relationship of the city of Valladolid with the College in its early years as an institution created to meet an urgent need in many times, as a result of the effects on the family environment of the Guerra of Cuba, among other circumstances. The city of Valladolid, not only supported through their political representatives the implementation underway of the school, but it kept the effort during the early years, sometimes with great difficulty, to hold the school, to its final location at the place where today, ensuring their stay in the city. Time from which the Council of administration of the Board of Trustees assumed the main role on it.
