During the Modern Age the Order of Preachers will be confronted with a series of historical macroevolutions (global expansion, Protestant reforms, reconfiguration of the Aristotelian-Thomist tradition, etc.) that will demand readjustments in the management of the study. By means of the analysis of general chapters' resolutions during the period 1570-1630 we will address two large blocks of questions. On the one hand, which will be the most pressing challenges that the Order will have to address. For another we will inquire about what are spatially and geographically the nuclear zones and which are the peripheral ones of the Order.
