Abstract

At the end of the Ancien Regime grew different texts related both to the development of personal merit through study and a renewed educational system, as well as to the criticism of clothing innovations that only enhanced the luxury of fashion (sins of vanity that only attended to the notoriety of an ephemeral power). Reflection on them, allows a better assessment of Castilian inertias and cultural transformations.
