An ideal of Poetic Translation
Keywords:
translation, literature, poetryAbstract
The author, as a poet and a translator of poetry, holds as the ideal of the translation of literary works the fact that these may eventually be a part of the literature in the language they are translated to, as it happened in the past, with works like Castiglione’s Il cortiqiano, redone in Spanish by Juan Boscán: These translations may be a part of the literary heritage of the receiving language and influence in the evolution of literary movements.
