In the university stage there is a change in life habits and, in most cases, the behaviors acquired at this time are maintained in adulthood. The aim was to identify the relationship between body composition and the consumption of foods rich in fiber and fat, in students of Physical Culture, Sports and Recreation of Bogotá, Colombia. The research had a quantitative approach, non-experimental, transversal. The sample consisted of 91 students; body composition was evaluated and a food questionnaire was applied to them. The results showed an optimal fat percentage, a BMI and visceral fat within the healthy range. The average score for fat intake of 22.2 revealed a moderate consumption of fat, in relation to fiber consumption the score was low; no statistically significant relationship was found between body composition and food consumption. It is suggested to increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables, and decrease the intake of fried foods and fast foods, since being future professionals who promote healthy lifestyle habits, they must start the generation of those habits in the personal sphere.
