Abstract

This work aims to analyse the contributions that Sport Education makes to the mental, moral, social and emotional development. In order to do that, we analyse the key features of the model, which are affiliation, formal competition, the season, the culmination event, record keeping and festivity. Equally, we analyse the roles that the pupils develop during their work and what benefits they receive. Each of these features is analysed according to three age groups in Primary School (from six to eight, eight to ten and ten to twelve), based on the theories of development of Piaget and Kohlberg, noting the differences between the age groups and obtaining results for each one.
