Abstract

The Direct Action Workshop (DAW) is a teacher training strategy. The teachers in training design educative actions that they apply with students from primary schools who attend the University. This research aims to identify the perceptions of students about the DAW in the subject of Inclusive Physical Education and to evaluate their effects on inclusive attitudes. It adopts a descriptive-interpretative approach that includes a quantitative technique, the questionnaire, and two qualitative techniques, the students report and the discussion focus group. The results show the students’ positive perception related to the relationship between theory and practice, the reflection about their practice, the motivation, the development of self-confidence attitudes and the prejudices and stereotypes overcoming.
