Vol. 16 No. 1 (2026): Miscellany

This issue of Sociología y Tecnociencia gathers research exploring how technological innovation reshapes contemporary social, cultural, and economic structures. The contributions range from the development of sociotechnical systems aimed at reducing digital divides in Araucanía to the psychological effects of problematic internet use following natural disasters. Other articles address the social perception of technological dehumanization, the correlation between digital skills and job satisfaction, and the shifting scientific consensus on agricultural biotechnology. Further studies examine technology transfer under the Belt and Road Initiative, pre-pandemic eHealth visions, and grassroots cultural responses to urban marginalization, all highlighting the increasing entanglement between technology and social transformation.
