Non-Binary Language and Gender

In this article I analyze non-binarism from gender and linguistic perspectives and I intend to go beyond established European categories and androcentrism in language. I describe non-binary language and its difference from inclusive language and then I proceed with a study of non-binary human sex and gender throughout history and in non-Europeanized cultures. I also deal with gender systems and apply different linguistic approaches and theories to non-binary language. Likewise, I study grammatical gender and its evolution to Spanish, French, German and Italian.
