MariCorners: Revista de Estudios Interdisciplinares LGTBIA+ y queer.

MARICORNERS: REVISTA DE ESTUDIOS INTERDISCIPLINARES LGTBIA+ Y QUEER (E-ISSN 3020-9552) is a biannual journal whose main objectives are to generate a space for the dissemination and exchange of interdisciplinary knowledge among people who study LGTBIA+ and queer issues. The preference is for studies written in Spanish, but the journal is open to other languages such as English or French, commonly used as academic languages, and other minoritized languages used in Spanish-speaking territories. It is a project developed by the MariCorners association which, since 2017, has organized and set up spaces and initiatives for the promotion and dissemination of research works in any field of specialty, as long as it is related to affective and gender diversity.

The call for proposals for the special issue 4(1) is now open: Queer Studies and Law(s): Urgent Reflections on the Rights of Women and LGBTIA+ People from Queer Perspectives

2026-02-16

This special issue seeks to bring together diverse voices reflecting on the legal and political aspects of the rights of women and LGBTQIA+ people from queer perspectives. It aims to foster academic debate and highlight critical thinking within the legal field, emphasizing the role of law in social transformation. Despite criticism of its use by marginalized groups, these groups have employed legal strategies to advance their rights. We invite critical and interdisciplinary contributions that address the contradictions of law in the pursuit of justice within the current context of far-right backlash.

Current Issue

Vol. 3 No. 1 (2026): Special issue: Living bodies, not a straight line. Queer temporalities in contemporary fiction
MariCorners. Estudios Interdisciplinares LGTBIA+ y Queer 2026, 3(1)

This special issue aims to open a space for interdisciplinary reflection on queer temporalities in fiction, considering both their narrative figurations and the formal procedures that allow for the distortion, rarefaction, highlighting, or decomposition of linear time. Rather than identifying a new canon, it seeks to explore how these fictions make visible the political dimension of time and open fissures in the narratives that dictate which lives arrive on time and which are left out of history. The works that inform the contributions in this special issue emphasize the power of deviations, repetitions, and interruptions: living bodies that, in their way of inhabiting time, resist becoming linear.
