INVESTIGACIONES HISTÓRICAS. ÉPOCA MODERNA Y CONTEMPORÁNEA (E-ISSN 2530-6472). Annual digital scientific journal, edited by the Modern and Contemporary History Department in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Valladolid (Spain), which publishes original scholarly articles. The journal admits articles related to Modern and Contemporary History, showing special interest in those who contribute methodological innovations and propose novel lines of historical work. The journal embraces a diachronic “Miscellany”, being also possible to include “Dossiers”. IH also includes the sections “On Archives” and “Reviews”.
In 2014, Investigaciones Históricas, época moderna y contemporánea has obtained the "Spanish Scientific Journals Seal of Quality" in the IV call for evaluation by the FECYT (Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology. Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of Spain), which qualifies it as EXCELLENT, and has obtained the renewal of the seal of quality since to the present. IH is indexed in Scopus and positioned since 2014 in SJR (Scimago Journal & Country Rank), Q2 since 2023; in WOS-Clarivate, ESCI, Q3 since 2025. The Indexing page updates the National and International Multidisciplinary Databases, Metrics and Quality Assessment of the Investigaciones Históricas Journal.
